“HOSA was my favorite and most beneficial club out of all of the eight clubs I joined at Rock Hill. Through HOSA I learned necessary leadership skills, what it was like to become a medical professional, how to prepare for my future, how to improve my communication skills, and I built priceless relationships that will definitely last me a lifetime. HOSA competitions encompass challenging, yet thrilling topics that allow you to explore a multitude of career pathways while simultaneously getting a sense of freedom and having tons of fun meeting new people and exploring a new city. I would recommend HOSA to anyone who is interested in engineering, medicine, STEM, creative writing, research etc. since HOSA truly utilizes a wide variety of skills that give you an opportunity to explore your career interests in a creative way. I love HOSA and I am so grateful for all of the knowledge and experience that came from this amazing club!!”

“Through HOSA, I have made great friends and had great experiences. I was able to network with similar peers reaching toward health careers, which helped us forge a support system that keeps pushing each other toward success. Due to the nature of the competitions, HOSA events challenged me to apply skills learned in real world scenarios, improving my confidence. This competition and teamwork have both been exciting and rewarding. HOSA has been so crucial in shaping my journey and will continue to do in all my future journeys.”
-Akshitha Gopikrishnan

"HOSA was monumental in my development as a leader, creative thinker, and future health professional. The opportunities the club provided through competitions, community service, social events, and networking with established health professionals has helped me curate meaningful relationships, reinforced my goals of being a medical professional, allowed me to positively impact my community, and prepared me for higher education and the professional world. I would recommend HOSA to any student hoping to become more well-rounded, build connections, challenge themselves, explore their passions, and so much more!"
